Proverbs 28:10-18
Q.1. What is the outcome for those who try to lead others astray? What results from the triumph of the righteous? – (Prov.28:10-13)
Solomon observed that people who cause others to stumble will ultimately be shunned. Also, they will not prosper. He warned that these people invariably get snared by their own devices (Prov.28:12-13, 10). However, when the righteous triumph, this brings wide-ranging blessings (Prov.28:12).
Q.2. What attitude to relationships does God prosper? How can we escape the outcome of transgression? – (Prov.28:13-14)
It is those who cultivate a healthy respect for the consequences of sin, who experience blessing. Solomon added realistically, that even when we do wrong – he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion (Prov.28:13).
Q.3. Why is it foolish to take advantage of the poor and defenceless? What is promised to the upright? – (Prov.28:15-18)
The poor and defenceless will see through the fickle and tyrannical leader. His downfall is certain (Prov.28:11, 15-18). Those who are upright and blameless will be protected by the Lord (Prov.28:18).
