GOD IS NEAR TO THOSE WHO SEEK HIM DILIGENTLY.

Psalm 119:145-152

Q.1. How diligently did the Psalmist give attention to the Lord and His Word? Why? (Ps.119:145-148)

The Psalmist put his heart and soul into the pursuit of God. He would rise early to seek the Lord, so that his discoveries of God could comfort and strengthen him throughout the day and night. He made this his practice so that he could obey the Lord and claim God’s promises whenever he cried out for help.

Q.2. What gave the Psalmist confidence through the varying circumstances of life? (Ps.119:149-152)

From his constant study of God’s Word, the Psalmist had come to understand that all of life is governed by God’s principles. Obedience worked in his favour, but disobedience worked against those who followed after wickedness. The Psalmist was confident that God would operate according to His ordinances, and in keeping with His lovingkindness toward those who trust Him. Wise is the person who has discovered that – of old I have known from Your testimonies that You have founded them forever (Ps.119:152).
