THE FATE OF JUDAH AND A MESSAGE OF HOPE TO A FUTURE GENERATION.

Isaiah 32:1-20

Q.1. How will the world change when the King and his princes reign? What will happen to the dominance of the wicked? What kind of people will be in ascendancy? Who will rule with the King? – (Isa.32:1-8)

Isaiah prophesied about the future reign of King Jesus Who will change the wicked nation. He will be assisted by His princes. – 1 Behold, a king will reign righteously, and princes will rule justly. 2 Each will be like a refuge from the wind and a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry country, like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land (Isa.32:1-2). Isaiah singled out the fool, the wicked, and the slanderer, and declared that they would be put out of business (Isa.32:5-7). The long-standing blindness of Israel would be cured – 3 Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, and the ears of those who hear will listen. 4 The mind of the hasty will discern the truth, and the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak clearly (Isa.32:3-4 c.f. Isa.2:3-5; 2 Cor.3:14-15; 4:3-4). In that day – the noble man devises noble plans; And by noble plans he stands (Isa.32:8). The reference to princes seems to allude to the reign of the apostles and saints with Christ (c.f. Mt.19:27-28; 2 Tim.2:11-13; Rev.19:14-15).

Q.2. What would happen soon to the women in Judah? Why? What did Isaiah predict for the land? Will this destruction last forever? What hope was there for the nation in future? – (Isa.32:9-20)

Isaiah prophesied trouble for the nation, and especially for the women. Their complacency would be turned to bondage (Isa.32:9-14). The Promised Land would experience continual strife – UNTIL the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field is considered as a forest (Isa.32:15). The land will be totally transformed under the Messiah’s reign – 16 Then justice will dwell in the wilderness and righteousness will abide in the fertile field. 17 and the work of righteousness will be connected to peace, and the service of righteousness connected to quietness and confidence forever. 18 Then my people will live in a peaceful habitation, and in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places (Isa.32:16-18). What a time of blessing that will be.
