Psalm 119:105-112
Q.1. How important was the Word of God to the Psalmist? How did he make sure the Word benefitted him? – (Ps.119:105-106 & Ps.119:111-112)
The Psalmist had concluded that God’s Word stopped him from falling. It provided light for the way and gave him clear direction for life’s decisions. All who knew the Psalmist, recognized that he had a passion to please His Lord. He would happily reveal that he had sworn before God to keep God’s principles for living. He was convinced that these principles would be true, and that they would benefit him forever.
Q.2. What effect did trials have on the Psalmist’s openness towards God? How did he stay on the path of blessing? – (Ps.119:107-110)
All the Psalmist’s tests and trials only made him more determined to be led and strengthened by God. The attacks from his enemies increased his resolve to seek his God, Who could keep him from stumbling.
